As Harry Potter deals with more genres, it appeals to more types of people. As opposed to just romance (and there is romance as well), it contains fantasy, action, suspense, mystery, and many other things. In the context of the books you get to see Harry grow up, on the way there are some light materials as well as darker, making for an interesting series.
Twilight deals with romance as the pivoting point. Some action and suspense may be mixed in, but the main issue is always Edward.
This also means that Harry Potter is more enjoyable series.community leans to Harry Potter over Twilight.

all of my friends are like obsessed with twilight, and then when i tell them it's boring, they go into some type of shock, and stare at me for a minute then say ARE YOU CRAZY!!
then when i tell them that harry potter is way better, my friend monsy goes wacko insane!
she is like, "you geek, i cannot believe you like hp"
then i say "you nerd i cannot believe you like twilight"
then we have this big debate, and now i have proof hp is better.. so HA..
well, it really doesnt matter, because its their oppinion, but whatever, i am quite bored right now, so i felt like posting a blog..
