Now, my perspective on this;
Yes, the quote at the beginning of Taylor's post is from me and i back that up 100%.
Bella is some whinny girl who cannot decide between two guys, typical scenario for love stories, the only difference in Twilight is that Bella is choosing between a Vampire and a Werewolf, big Whoop - De - Do.
My point in this is, it is not a vampire book, do not call it that. It is a l o v e story. Real vampire novels are not 400 pages of lovey dovey emotional CRAP and then 30 pages of fight scenes. No, I've read a lot of actual vampire books, i should know.

Moving on to Taylor's next point, the selling rate of both books. Yes, Harry Potter's selling rate is significantly high, but one must consider that A. it has been out much longer and B. there are more books in the series. But, Harry Potter appeals to both male and female and Twilight appeals to mostly female. Yes, some guys do read Twilight, but not as nearly as many guys read Twilight as they do Harry Potter and the amount of females reading Twilight is almost quadruple the amount of males reading it (yes, i just made that statistic up, but it seems pretty accurate, so I'll stick with it. )

Supporting Taylor's point on the different Genre's both books entail, both books are commonly categorized under fantasy, and Twilight is also sometimes categorized under romance. Within Harry Potter there are many different elements from a lot of genres such as; Fantasy, Adventure, Suspense, Mystery, Action, Romance, Growing Up, and Real Life. Whereas Twilight deals with; Romance, Action (very little), and Real Life. Harry Potter appeals to teens, intermediate students, elementary students and adults. Twilight mostly appeals to female teenagers, and sometimes female adults.

Twilight gives girls the fantasy of their perfect man, i.e. Edward. Stephanie Meyer has created every teenage girl's dream man so that the real guys cannot amount to Mr. Edward Cullen, the too good for life guy. Well, of course he's too good for life, he's a vampire, and dead. But, J.K. Rowling has created a magical school in England, we know it is unreal, therefore we are not substituting it for reality and day dreaming about Magical Boys that are better than the ones that are there. Also, Harry Potter does have romance, i.e. the Yule Ball, Ron & Hermione, Harry and Ginny, Cho and Cedric, etc. but Harry Potter is not a complete romance novel and is not filled with boring ....stuff.

Now, another fact, based upon the movies. Robert Pattinson played Cedric Diggory in The Harry Potter movies until he met his end in the Goblet of Fire. Then, he became Edward Cullen. The producers of the Harry Potter movies obviously chose a good actor if Twilight casting officers snatched him up. Now, i have not seen the Twilight movie but the actors they chose are unsatisfactory. Many online chat rooms have been buzzing about who should have been who and what if he were him instead... one name that keeps appearing is Gaspard Ulliel. In a youtube video titles Edward Cullen vs. Jacob Black - Invincible (http://www. youtube. com/watch?v=v1N2s_Rc3dQ) Gaspard plays Edward Cullen. Now, in my opinion Taylor Lautner played a good Jacob Black, but people have sait they would have liked Steven Strait better. Yes, I will admit that Taylor Lautner (a.k.a. Sharkboy from Sharkboy & Lavagirl) is very hot, but from the descriptions in the book, he is not "big boned" and as muscley as Jacob should be. Also, Jacob's hair was long and wavy, and pulled back into a pony tail most of the time, which Taylor's was not, and he could not pull off even if it was.

Deadline Hollywood is reporting an exclusive scoop -- Universal Studios has set a plan to build a Harry Potter theme park inside the grounds of Universal Studios Florida. According to Nikki Finke, this story dates all the way back to 2005, when it was reported that Disney was debating whether or not to create a Harry Potter theme park in Singapore. The company was apparently engaged in "protracted negotiations' with J.K. Rowling and Warner Bros. to secure rights to the project. That plan morphed into the current one, with Universal stepping into the picture and going into negotiations with Warner Bros to build the Universal Studios facilities. According to Finke, the deal is now "set in principle, but terms are still being finalized." Which could mean anything, of course.Finke also notes that until now, the closest thing to a Harry Potter theme park that's been built is the Alnwick Castle, location of Hogwarts School, so it's somewhat of an untested idea. To date, the Harry Potter books have sold more than 325 million copies and have been translated into over 60 languages. The fifth of seven Harry Potter films, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, is due for release this July, with the remaining two films coming soon. We recently brought you the news that negotiations with the three leads for the final films have been sewn up, after some dispute as to whether Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger, would be returning to finish out the series. With plans for the film series finalized and the theme park plans supposedly afoot, it looks like J.K. Rowling won't have to get a day job anytime soon. Stay tuned to Cinematical for all the latest.

Now, I don't know how reliable this information is but I don't see Twilight getting their own theme park now do I?
